ATLAS BASE PAYMENT GUIDE
New to paying USDC on Base?
You do not need to be a crypto expert. Follow these steps before using an Atlas gold Pay with Crypto button.
Atlas accepts native USDC on Base only. Do not manually send payment to a copied Atlas wallet address. Use the Atlas checkout flow.
If you already have MetaMask
1. Open MetaMask and select Base.
If the network indicator does not say Base, open the network selector and choose Base.

2. Make sure you have USDC on Base.
If your USDC is on Ethereum, Solana, or another network, it is not the same payment path. A provider that supports USDC withdrawals on Base can be used to move USDC to your MetaMask address on Base.

3. Keep a small amount of ETH on Base for gas.
Atlas charges in USDC, but MetaMask normally needs a small amount of ETH on Base to pay the blockchain network fee. Base fees are typically low but are not guaranteed to be zero.

Where can I get USDC on Base?
Availability depends on country and provider. Coinbase supports Base transfers, and Kraken lists USDC on Base among its supported stablecoin networks. Always confirm that the withdrawal network says Base before sending.
Why Base?
Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network. It generally offers lower transaction fees than Ethereum Mainnet, which helps keep small Atlas payments practical. Network fees can still vary.
Wrong-network warning: blockchain transfers can be irreversible. Funds manually sent on another network, with another token, or to an incorrect address may not be recoverable.
